Atomizer manufactured by NIRO ATOMIZER in stainless steel, model F10.
Spray dryers convert liquid feeds into dry powders or granules by atomizing the liquid into a hot drying gas. Common in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and detergent production, a spray dryer includes an atomizer or nozzle, drying chamber, particle separation (cyclone or baghouse) and a heating system. Buyers evaluate throughput, inlet/outlet temperatures, atomizer type, material construction, CIP/GMP features and automation when selecting new or used equipment.
Check the atomizer (rotor/nozzle wear), drive motors, seals, control panel, insulation, chamber corrosion, cyclone/baghouse condition, spare parts availability and process history (what was dried). Ask for maintenance records and any certificates for hygiene or hazardous-product use.
Large spray dryers often require partial disassembly, cleaning (CIP and removal of residues), heavy rigging and a certified transporter. Confirm weights and lifting points, secure electrical and control components, and plan for reassembly, alignment and commissioning at site.
Regularly inspect and replace atomizer bearings and nozzles, check heating system and burners, clean separators and filters, monitor seals and instrumentation, verify CIP systems and perform corrosion checks. Follow manufacturer schedules for lubrication, belt and motor servicing.
