Inspect the frame, attachment mounting points, hydraulic pumps, hoses and valves, PTO and quick‑attach coupler. Check wear on tires or tracks, service records, cab controls, corrosion from salt exposure, and verify compatibility with the implements you plan to use.

Use a heavy‑equipment carrier or low‑bed trailer rated for the machine's weight. Secure at recommended lift points, block moving parts, protect hydraulic lines and sensitive electronics, and document pre‑load condition. For long hauls, drain fluids if required and follow local transport regulations.

Perform daily checks of hydraulics, hoses, filters, fluid levels, and attachment couplers. Grease pivot points, inspect wear parts on implements, monitor track or tire condition and tension, and follow scheduled engine and transmission service intervals. Winterize attachments and use corrosion protection if operated in salt environments.
