Use a freight carrier or specialized motorcycle shipper, drain or secure fluids per carrier rules, tie the bike securely in a crate or on a pallet, and buy transit insurance for damage or loss.

Frequent tasks include air filter cleaning, oil and filter changes, chain lubrication and adjustment, regular fork and shock inspections, and valve/checks per manufacturer intervals.

Bring spare levers, tubes or tubeless repair kit, air filters, spare sprockets and chain links, brake pads, and basic tools for quick track repairs and adjustments.

For private sales, get a bill of sale and VIN check. If street registration is required, confirm title and emissions paperwork. For international shipping, prepare export/import documents and any customs invoices.
