The Mzuri strip seeder is a direct seeder with a very robust construction, which is driven directly into the stump. A good seed bed starts with a good straw cutter, straw spreader and bait spreader on the combine. The seed drill leaves a freshly dug, airy seed bed, and as no other tillage is necessary, compaction is avoided by additional runs with tractors and implements.
Strip sowing is, as the name suggests, sowing in strips where the seeds are placed in 10-15 cm wide strips with a diameter of 33 cm. Plant residues are placed between the sowing strips, and moisture and organic matter are retained on the surface to provide better soil structure and micro-life. The wheels of the seed drill are positioned so that straw and plant residues can easily pass through, and the rear row of wheels ensures an even soil pressure with the help of hydraulic pressure loading.
The machine stands out in that it has a patented system to return some of the soil behind each coulter.
