Description
2-unit brewing system mounted on a stainless steel frame as a brewing block. This consists of the following components:
- Stainless steel mash/lauter tun for mashing, mashing and draining the mash. Separate control of the thermo-oil-heated frame and bottom heating. The double-walled container is encased in insulating cladding and has a polished inner surface. The motor mounted on the top drives the chopper and agitator with infinitely variable speed control. A multi-part perforated false bottom is provided for lautering and a rectangular manhole on the side for sparging. In addition, the vessel is equipped with a hinged lid, CIP spray head, temperature probe and spray unit.
- Stainless steel wort pan/whirlpool. The container is double-walled and has welded heating zones in the frame and bottom, which are heated with thermal oil. The vessel is also insulated and equipped with a temperature probe, hinged lid, CIP cleaning head, spray unit, height-adjustable lock and tangential wort inlet for knocking out. Polished inner surface.
- Single-stage plate heat exchanger for cooling wort from 100 °C to 18 °C while simultaneously heating water from 13 °C to 77 °C. The wort from a brew can be cooled within approximately one hour. The plates are made of 1.4401 (AISI 316) stainless steel and the seals are made of EPDM. The wort cooler has a PT1000 temperature sensor.
- Thermal oil heating for heating the laser-welded heating zones of the brewing vessels. In the thermal oil tank, approx. 50 - 65 l oil is heated electrically to a maximum of 150 °C. A safety switch ensures that the heating is automatically stopped if the temperature exceeds 160°C. The vessel is equipped with a temperature and level probe. A pump circulates the thermal oil.
- 12 hl hot water tank, standing separately on three feet, with a manhole on the top. The tank is heatable, insulated and equipped with a hose level indicator, temperature probe and hot water pump.
- Centrifugal pump for product transfer between the tanks and for CIP cleaning with a motor power of 0.37 kW and infinitely variable speed control.
- Stainless steel pipes and manual valves for diverting the product flows. The pipes are orbitally welded and have polished inner surfaces.
- Control unit with 10" touchscreen and PLC for automation of the brewhouse, housed in a stainless steel control cabinet. The following processes can be controlled and monitored from here:
1. Switching the stirring and chopping unit on/off and speed control.
2. Temperature control of the mash/lauter tun
3. Temperature control for the pan/whirlpool (separate for bottom and frame)
4. Switching the product and CIP pumps on/off and speed control.
5. Display of inlet water temperature
6. Display of wort temperature at the outlet
7. Temperature control of the thermal oil tank
8. Setting of timers
9. Setting of the mashing programme (multi-stage mashing with up to 5 stages; setting of times, temperatures, rotation speeds of the stirrer and the pump)
10. Temperature of the hot water tank.
