Shanklin F4A. Continuous motion Form Fill Seal with Static longitudinal seal and wire end seal. End seal dimensions are 6" X 16". (NOTE that this is the exact height and width of the end seal opening. Package dimensions would be slightly less) Package circumference cannot exceed 38". Delivery system is an 8'lugged/flighted infeed. Speed (by Shanklin Corp OEM) is rated at up to 75 ppm, but there are a lot of variables in this claim especially product length and height. 35 - 60 ppm is probably a more practical estimate.
This unit uses a split-belt end seal area with a photo eye to detect end-seal placement which makes it very easy to adjust package seal length and bag length.
More flexible that the “mechanically linked” units. Better/faster for product changeover.
This unit uses a wire seal cut-off which makes it well suited for intermittent start-up in batch environments.
Excellent running mechanical condition. Light previous use. Very clean.
Unit comes with 7 miscellaneous extra forming heads.
