Stack flexo presses are modular flexographic printing machines with multiple print units arranged vertically (stacked) on a common frame. They handle roll-to-roll substrates like labels, flexible film, paper, and corrugated liners, offering compact footprints, fast changeovers, and multi-color capability. Built for medium to high-volume packaging and label work, stack presses simplify register control and maintenance by isolating units while keeping web path short and efficient.
Inspect anilox rolls, doctor blade systems, print sleeves/plates, registration systems, bearings, gearboxes, drive motors, electrical controls/PLC, web-handling components, and print unit alignment. Ask for service records, plate repeat history, and photos of wear on rollers and frames.
Get machine weight and footprint, then hire specialized riggers and freight forwarders. Disassembly of heavy units and secure crating reduce risk. Check transport routes, lifting gear, customs paperwork, and cargo insurance for international moves.
Confirm floor loading capacity, electrical supply (voltage/amps), compressed air, ventilation and waste ink routing. Plan for OEM or experienced technician commissioning, alignment tools, and spare parts for initial setup.
Regularly clean and inspect anilox rolls, replace doctor blades and wipers, check gearbox oil and bearings, monitor drive belts and motors, and keep spare sleeves, seals, and filters. Scheduled preventive service minimizes downtime and print quality loss.
