Inspect pin centers and bushings for wear, look for cracks or repairs on welds, check blade edges, teeth and ripper shanks, verify cylinder seals and hose condition, and confirm mounting brackets match your machine.
Match pin diameter and center-to-center measurements, check weight and lift capacity limits, confirm hydraulic flow/pressure specs if powered, and see if an OEM or aftermarket adapter is required.
Use a flatbed or lowboy rated for the weight, secure with chains at approved tie points, block and cradle blades or rippers to prevent movement, and arrange permits or escorts for oversized loads.
Regularly grease pins and pivot points, replace worn teeth and cutting edges, inspect welds and cylinders, flush and check hydraulic lines, and touch up paint to prevent corrosion.
